Fundraise Your Way
Do-It-Yourself (DIY) fundraising raises awareness and funds to support ALS San Diego's mission and we are so grateful for and inspired by the creativity and passion DIY Event Hosts and Tribute Fund Creators.
DIY offers everyone an easy way to start fun and creative events to help raise funds on behalf of ALS San Diego. What a great way to use your diverse talents to support a great cause!
No matter where you live or what time of year works best, you can host an event to help support the ALS community and push towards a treatment and a cure.
We will provide the simple tools you need to help you plan, promote, and manage your activity. When you sign up, we'll help you create a custom web page where you can share your story, photos, event information and more in order to promote your fundraiser.
Start with an idea (a hike, garage sale, poker tournament, concert, anniversary party, or basketball game, for example), create and customize your page, and then recruit others to join you or donate in support of your efforts.
Here are some ideas for the types of fundraisers you might create:
Athletic
Run, cycle, swim, hike, golf, paddle, and more! Go the distance to defeat ALS!
Special Occasion
Dedicate a special day or milestone to bringing help and hope to the ALS community.
Get Creative
Turn passion into progress with an activity such as an art sale, chili cook-off, car show, or whatever you can dream up!
Tribute or Memorial
Establish a lasting legacy by creating a customized fundraising webpage in honor or in memory of a loved one. Each Tribute Fund is a unique and special way to to recognize a loved one by raising critical dollars to help end this disease. The Tribute Fund page can feature photos and stories of loved ones and inspire others to give by sharing the lives of those impacted by ALS. This is also a way to celebrate and honor your loved one during special occasions and birthdays while simultaneously helping those who are living with ALS.
